Steven Osborne is one of Britain’s most notable musicians, awarded with The Royal Philharmonic Society Instrumentalist of the Year in 2013 and recipient of two Gramophone Awards for recordings of Britten’s works for piano and orchestra and of solo pieces by Prokofiev and Mussorgsky. Osborne has performed with some of the world’s major orchestras, including recent visits to the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and the Salzburg Mozarteum. He regularly works with the London Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic and other important British orchestras. Since 1998, Osborne has released 25 albums for Hyperion Records, accumulating numerous awards and spanning a wide range of repertoire, which includes Beethoven, Schubert, Debussy, Ravel, Liszt and Stravinsky. Recently, he has been teaching as Visiting Professor at the Royal Academy of Music.
