Rodrigo began his musical studies with professors Jefferson Denis Pinheiro and Elisa Fukuda. In 2005, he was second place in Paulo Bosísio National Strings Contest and, in the following year, he won Eleazar de Carvalho Award. Still in 2006, he won Prelúdio, a TV Cultura contest show, which earned him a scholarship in Germany.
He graduated from Paris Conservatory in Suzanne Gessner’s class and from École Normale de Musique de Paris in Devy Erlih’s class, with whom he formed contemporary music ensembles during his course in the institution. Rodrigo has also attended chamber music classes with Ysaÿe Quartet and participated in masterclasses with Patrice Fontanarosa, Stephan Picard, Roland Daugareil, Luc Héry and Maxim Vengerov.
As concertmaster, he has performed with groups like Camerata Fukuda, Camerata Zajdenbaum, Promété, Ostinato and Académie Nice Festival Orchestra. He was appointed concertmaster of the Paris Conservatory Orchestra in the 2008/2009 season. As a soloist, he performed with the Massye Opera, Bachiana Chamber Orchestra and São Paulo Municipal Symphony Orchestra. Before joining Minas Gerais Philharmonic, Rodrigo was a member of the São Paulo Municipal Theater Orchestra from 2009 to 2013.
