Cellos

Camilla began to devote herself to the cello at the age of nine in her hometown, Belém, Pará, in Carlos Gomes Conservatory under Professor Áureo de Freitas. In 2005, she followed her studies at Tatuí Conservatory, São Paulo, with Clodoaldo Leite and Jefferson Perez. In that same year, she won first place in the Concurso Nacional de Cordas Paulo Bosísio. She entered the Music Academy of São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra (Osesp) in 2009, and studied under the guidance of Johannes Gramsch, graduating in July 2011.

 

Camilla has attended the Campos do Jordão International Festival, the Santa Catarina Music Festival and the Rio International Cello Encounter, among others. She has also taken part in masterclasses with renowned cellists such as Johannes Moser, Xavier Phillips, Antonio Meneses, Benhard Loercher and Mark Kosower.

 

Before becoming a member of the Minas Gerais Philharmonic, Camilla integrated the Youth Orchestra of São Paulo, Santo André Symphony and Experimental de Repertório, having also performed with the Osesp as a guest musician.
